Happiness is a gift…

Happiness is a gift given freely to each and everyone.

We all have the same abilities to be happy.

We are all capable of smiling and seeing the positives in our daily lives.

When we wake up of a morning we have the choice to open our eyes and think of the positive reasons to be happy. We slept in comfortable bed, we have a window to look out of, we have food in the kitchen, we have a kitchen…the list is endless.

I am aware that there are those who do not have those essential luxuries and that is where most of us have the ability to donate a small amount of money each  month to try and help those less fortunate to have access to the basics in life.

When we smile our whole face changes, often it lights up with joy, which can be contagious and cause other people to smile.

It is so easy to get into a funk, and see only the negative or stressful parts of our lives. With three little children, I can so easy get caught up in the mundane – have to make lunches, what are we going to have for dinner, oh look the lounge room needs cleaning for the millionth time, there is another spill. In this season of my life nothing stays perfect how I want it for very long, yet the memories those little people are making a far more important!

We only get one chance at life, and our lives are what we make them. We can choose to be a happy person that other people want to be around. Often it is the happy people who live longer and healthier lives and are also given the most opportunities in life!

Sometimes we just need to stop and smile and find the funny in the moment. Kids do plenty of things each day that can make us laugh and smile. We don’t even need to have kids around to laugh, there are plenty of funny things to watch on the internet too or we can take the time to have an uplifting conversation with a friend.

I challenge you to see the positive things this week – look for the funny things – take the time to smile. If any of these things have an impact that causes you to be happier than usual please take the time to comment 🙂

Blessings to you,
