“What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.” Matthew 10:27 ESV
Inspire me Lord, I need another article to write. I am out of scheduled articles. Help me Father…Speak to me…give me something to write…
Write from your heart my dear child. Your heart is full of treasures. I have stored up lots within you ready to be released at the right timing.
Yet my mind is blank…I know not what to write. How can I inspire others when I feel so uninspired myself? There are innumerable topics I can write on, just like the stars in the sky yet I feel so empty.
Quiet your mind; be still…Listen for my still small voice…look for my cues.
In the quiet whispers greatness is born…what does that even mean? In the quiet whispers greatness is born, how can something big be born out of something so small and fragile? A little whisper is often almost inaudible yet big things can come from it, how?
Think about it for a moment my child, shall we start with babies? How are babies created, ahem, umm yep this is not going to be a birds and the bees discussion. Okay so where were we, yes babies, they are created from microscopic organisms, much like a quiet whisper, they are almost impossible to see, yet over time with the right nurture, love and care they grow in to little people and then continue growing into big people.
Big things can grow out of small whispers…What small whispers are you waiting on today? What big thing are you hoping to grow? Like a baby requires nurture, our dreams require nurture to grow. We cannot expect big things to grow from small beginnings if we are not willing to help them grow. We have to be just as invested in our quiet whispers as we are once they become big, only then will we be able to see greatness being born out of small whispers.
How we respond to the small whispers in our lives greatly determines how we see the bigger picture of our lives. We spend so much time focused on the big things. On where we want to be, what we want to do in the future. We can map out holidays years in advance yet we tend to overlook the here and now. What small things can we do today that will grow our small whispers in to greatness?
How can we look at the here and now with purpose and determination to not let the seemingly little things pass us by. Often our greatest dreams are born out of our quietest thoughts.
What will you do today to allow yourself to hear the small whispers? Once you have heard those quiet words be sure to shout them from the rooftops, if that seems a little extreme feel free to share them in the comments below. We want to hear them loud and clear!
Blessings to you
